Local Heroes' Corner

The Local Heroes' Corner recognizes members of our community who have voluntarily served sports and recreational needs in their communities. We honor those who have been affiliated with sports in a variety of capacities including coaches, program directors, resource contributors, facilities construction, referees and others.

The Warren Sports Hall of Fame receives nominees from Champion, Howland, and Warren Townships, as well as the City of Warren. The Trustees of the Hall of Fame make the final selection of the nominees. There is no set number of persons to be recognized each year. The recognition takes place at a program that is separate from the annual induction into the Hall of Fame. Over the first nine years of the Local Heroes' Corner existence, 74 persons have been honored.
